Split Second

Their eyes meet.
They make eye contact
for the first time.
The world no longer exists.
It’s just the two of them,
Nothing else matters.
Their lives intermingle,
She is he and he is she.
Their hearts beat in sync,
They are one.
All time stands still,
one of them blinks.
What seems like an eternity,
was but a split second of
loving, being loved,
and being in love.
The spell is now broken.
All is as it twas
once again.
Somewhere deep down inside,
they both know they will never forget.
The feeling, the moment
when nothing else seemed to matter,
but being wrapped up safe and warm
in the arms of each others love.
