ugly weather.
welcome to a world
where nothing is really there
everything is naked and bare
concieved through a blank stare.
welcome to a place
where nothing is really still
everything is fragile and frill
percieved from atop a hill.
no need to wipe your feet.
take a look around
all you'll see is white
there may be a few black spots
but that's just the night.
the night that pours in
and rectifies these dreams
dreams that filter themselves
into something obscene.
but i believe it.
i have to.
it's all i've got to take from
except for you.
but you're not me, are you?
that's one of the issues.
you can never know someone
unless you know their mind;
their thoughts, feelings,
and what they wish to leave behind.
i've welcomed you before
but you're standing at the door
just in case you're not sure
if you want to leave.
just like all the rest
you'll tell me i was the best
but never let me confess
there is nothing up my sleeve.
i just love you.
and i'm an idiot.
and sometimes i can't breathe right.
and other times i can't see it.
just step away
from the doorway
into my arms and say
you need me.
because that's all i need.
or run off as i thought you would
you might as well, you probably should
never let yourself be nothing more
than the other half of me that could
have been one.
welcome to a world
that orbits all the others
it might attract a few moons
but none of them really bother.
time will tell,
and you will learn
why it is
i'm always concerned
and that the night
is just as bright
as the sun.
when all is done.
welcome to a world
whose end is near
where the weather is dry
with a thinning atmosphere.
welcome to a world
that's soaked with fear
this world is my mind
it's getting cold in here.
