No Longer Hidden

As a flower floating on the water
I am a discarded friend, sister and daughter
Thrown out to drown and to disappear
Now the rain falls as violently as my tears
No more waiting, longing, just floating here
This is the last time I'll sadly look in this mirror
I have the courage now to go upstream
Never to look back, to always be free
Even if none of you understand what I mean
From now 'til my death, I will always be me
There are insects and dirt covering the ground
But by all this I am no longer bound
No more will I betray, no more will I lie
From now on I'll know in whom to confide
As long as I look up to the sky
No one can take what is here inside
