Chrissi's Poem

This is the man I love,
But he will push and he will shove.
The girl I used to be,
People never see.
You changed my life,
By making me your wife.
I try not to deceive,
But now i have to leave.
He's the man that game me kids,
As I did his bids.
With each passing day,
Our love faded away.
Because he didn't love me,
That I can clearly see.
My pride is down,
And I'm unwound.
As hard as it may seem,
I will not give up my dream.
Rather it's wrong or right,
I try not to fight.
I didn't want my girls to see,
The way he treated me.
I would go back,
Just stop and pack.
If he's only ask,
I'd start the task.
But he won't,
So I don't,
He not longer has control,
Now I play the role.
Of being the strong one,
Because of what you have done.
