Just Another Me
I’m writing this poem just for you.
You’re Quite a woman rare and true.
I’ve never met one so bold and classy,
So loving, so giving, and ever so sassy.
I will admit you’re in my heart.
I think of you often when we are apart.
You helped me dear to conceive
The things you know I can achieve.
You aid me to my hopes retrieve,
And spur me on till I believe.
When I say “I can’t:, you say I can,
It’s all apart of God’s ultimate plan.
When others flee and don’t say goodbye,
Who never stop and ask me “why”?
You lift my load and help to share,
The burdens that my shoulders bear.
You’re quite a friend I do believe,
For you my friend believe in me.
You’re a friend who always knows,
The pain I feel yet never show.
You’re a friend, I guess it’s plain to see,
Your really just another me!
