FATE

On that faithful summer's night,
when are paths were crossed,
it was as though FATE had intervened.

Your eyes told a story of jaded passion,
and your body one of fear,
but it was you who overcame the fright,
and put our love in gear.

The many nights' you shared yourself,
it was as though we were meant to be,
your eyes showed me a world I was much too blind to see, but like a magician I played with illusions,
until I waved my wand and could not get you back.

Since that last day that I saw you,
my pain has never ceased,
I knew I had fallen in love,
when FATE had intervened.
