-If you don’t stay-

Doubts you plant like little seeds.
And nurture into healthy insecurities.
Fears gather like storm clouds above,
Ready to rain down all over my love.
Attempting to put out this fire.
Trying to drown out my desire.
Threatening to wash me away.
And you can’t help, if you don’t stay.
Feels like maybe I’m dying of thirst,
Tired and weak, the knowing is the worst.
Ready for the rain, hoping it’s only a shower.
I no longer even resemble a flower.
Ever slowly fading, I can only pray.
And patiently wait as I wither away.
